PLEASE READ THIS DISCLAIMER CAREFULLY BEFORE USING ZEROFIT. BY ACCESSING OR USING THE APP, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD, AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THIS DISCLAIMER.
1. General Fitness Information Only
Zerofit is a fitness and wellness application designed to provide general educational and informational content about exercise and physical activity. All workout plans, exercise recommendations, micro-workouts, mood-based suggestions, challenge programs, and wellness guidance provided through the Zerofit platform are intended solely for general fitness and educational purposes.
Zerofit is not a medical product, medical service, or healthcare provider. Nothing on or within the Zerofit platform — including workout plans, exercise demonstrations, challenge programs, habit-building tools, AI-generated recommendations, push notifications, in-app guidance, or any other content — constitutes, or should be interpreted as, medical advice, medical diagnosis, medical treatment, physiotherapy, rehabilitation advice, or any other form of professional healthcare guidance.
2. No Doctor-Patient or Professional Relationship
Your use of Zerofit does not create any doctor-patient relationship, physiotherapist-patient relationship, personal trainer-client relationship, or any other professional-client relationship between you and Zerofit, its founders, employees, contractors, coaches, or affiliates.
No information provided through Zerofit — whether generated by artificial intelligence, written by human contributors, provided through video demonstrations, communicated via push notifications, or delivered through any other channel — should be relied upon as a substitute for consultation with a qualified healthcare professional.
3. Consult a Qualified Healthcare Professional
Before beginning any exercise program — including any program, workout, challenge, or routine suggested by Zerofit — you should consult with a qualified healthcare professional, including but not limited to:
- A licensed physician or general practitioner
- A sports medicine doctor
- A physiotherapist or physical therapist
- An orthopedic specialist
- A cardiologist (where relevant to your condition)
- Any other qualified medical specialist appropriate to your specific health circumstances
This requirement is especially important — and we urge you to seek professional clearance before using Zerofit — if you have or suspect you may have any of the following:
- Cardiovascular conditions: heart disease, high blood pressure, arrhythmia, history of heart attack or stroke, or any other cardiovascular diagnosis
- Metabolic conditions: diabetes (Type 1 or Type 2), thyroid disorders, or metabolic syndrome
- Musculoskeletal conditions: arthritis, osteoporosis, joint problems, back pain, or any history of fractures or bone conditions
- Respiratory conditions: asthma, COPD, or any breathing difficulties
- Neurological conditions: epilepsy, balance disorders, or any neurological diagnosis
- Chronic illnesses or immune conditions of any kind
- Recent or past injuries: sprains, strains, torn ligaments, muscle tears, or joint injuries
- Post-surgical recovery: any surgery within the preceding 12 months or ongoing post-operative rehabilitation
- Pregnancy or postpartum status: at any stage of pregnancy or within 12 weeks postpartum
- Physical disabilities or limitations that may affect your ability to perform exercise safely
- Mental health conditions where exercise intensity recommendations may need adjustment
- A sedentary lifestyle of six months or longer with no regular physical activity
- Age-related considerations: adults over 65 years of age
The above list is illustrative, not exhaustive. When in doubt, consult a healthcare professional.
4. Assumption of Risk
You acknowledge and agree that physical exercise and participation in fitness activities carries inherent risks, and that no exercise program — however well designed — can eliminate all risk of injury or health complications. By using Zerofit, you voluntarily and knowingly assume all risks associated with physical exercise and fitness activity, including but not limited to:
- Muscle strains, sprains, and tears
- Joint injuries, including ligament and tendon damage
- Falls, slips, and impact injuries
- Fractures or stress fractures
- Back and spinal injuries
- Neck injuries
- Cardiovascular events, including elevated heart rate, chest pain, or cardiac events
- Heat exhaustion or heat stroke
- Dehydration
- Exercise-induced asthma or breathing difficulties
- Fainting, dizziness, or loss of consciousness
- Overuse injuries from repeated activity
- Delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS)
- Rhabdomyolysis (rare but serious muscle breakdown)
- Worsening of any pre-existing medical condition
- Death
You acknowledge that these risks exist even when exercises are performed correctly and that individual physical responses to exercise vary significantly based on fitness level, health status, age, and other personal factors.
5. User Responsibility and Self-Monitoring
You are solely responsible for:
- Assessing your own physical fitness and exercising at a level appropriate to your current ability and health status
- Listening to your body and recognising signals that you should reduce intensity, modify an exercise, or stop activity entirely
- Modifying or substituting exercises that feel unsafe, inappropriate, or beyond your current capability
- Maintaining a safe exercise environment, including sufficient space, non-slip surfaces, appropriate equipment, and adequate ventilation
- Staying hydrated before, during, and after exercise
- Monitoring fatigue levels and allowing adequate rest and recovery between workouts
- Not exercising beyond your physician's clearance if you are under any medical restrictions
6. Stop Exercising Immediately If
You must stop exercising immediately and seek appropriate medical attention if you experience any of the following during or after exercise:
- Chest pain, pressure, tightening, or discomfort
- Unusual or severe shortness of breath
- Dizziness, lightheadedness, or loss of balance
- Fainting or near-fainting
- Heart palpitations or irregular heartbeat
- Sudden or severe pain in any part of your body
- Numbness, tingling, or weakness in limbs
- Nausea or vomiting
- Severe headache
- Blurred vision or visual disturbances
- Joint swelling or locking
7. Emergency Situations
In any emergency situation — including suspected heart attack, stroke, severe injury, or any life-threatening event — call your local emergency services immediately (e.g., 112 in India and the EU, 911 in the US, 999 in the UK) and do not delay seeking emergency medical care.
Do not rely on Zerofit or any in-app feature in an emergency. Zerofit has no ability to contact emergency services on your behalf.
8. AI-Generated and Algorithmically Personalised Recommendations
Zerofit uses artificial intelligence and algorithmic systems to generate personalised workout recommendations, mood-based activity suggestions, and fitness plans. You should be aware of the following important limitations:
- AI recommendations may be inaccurate, incomplete, or not appropriate for your specific circumstances. Algorithmic systems process generalised inputs and cannot account for every aspect of your individual health, medical history, fitness level, or personal situation.
- AI-generated content may contain errors or reflect biases in the data used to train or operate the system.
- Mood-based suggestions are generated based on user-reported mood inputs and general wellness principles. They are not clinically validated interventions and should not be treated as medical or psychological guidance.
- Workout personalisation is based on stated fitness preferences and goals — not on medical assessment. The system cannot detect contraindications to specific exercises.
- You are always responsible for applying your own judgment to any recommendation provided by Zerofit. If a suggested exercise feels unsafe or inappropriate, do not perform it.
- AI recommendation systems will be updated and improved over time. Past recommendations should not be assumed to remain optimal.
9. Exercise Videos and Demonstrations
Exercise demonstration videos available through Zerofit are provided for general guidance purposes only. Individual body mechanics, flexibility, strength levels, and injury histories vary significantly. An exercise shown in a video may not be safe or appropriate for every individual. Always:
- Watch the complete demonstration before attempting a new exercise
- Begin at a lower intensity than demonstrated if you are unfamiliar with the movement
- Stop if you feel pain, instability, or discomfort
- Consult a qualified trainer or physiotherapist if you are unsure whether an exercise is appropriate for you
10. Results Are Not Guaranteed
Zerofit makes no representations, warranties, or guarantees regarding specific fitness outcomes, weight loss, performance improvements, body composition changes, or any other results from using the platform. Individual results vary significantly based on genetics, diet, consistency, sleep, stress levels, underlying health conditions, and numerous other personal factors outside the control of Zerofit.
11. Challenge Programs
Zerofit may offer structured fitness challenges (such as push-up challenges, flexibility programs, or endurance challenges). These programs are designed as general progressive fitness routines for healthy adults. Participation in any challenge program should only follow clearance from a qualified healthcare professional, particularly if you are new to exercise or have any of the health conditions listed in Section 3. Progressing through a challenge too quickly may increase injury risk. You are responsible for adjusting the pace of any program to match your individual capacity.
12. Wearable Device Data
If Zerofit integrates with wearable fitness devices or health platforms in the future, any health metrics provided by those devices (heart rate, step count, sleep data, etc.) are provided by third-party hardware and platforms. Zerofit does not guarantee the accuracy of wearable data and does not use wearable data to provide medical assessments. Abnormal readings from wearable devices should be assessed by a qualified healthcare professional, not interpreted through Zerofit.
13. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ZEROFIT, ITS FOUNDERS, DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AFFILIATES, LICENSORS, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY PERSONAL INJURY, DEATH, PROPERTY DAMAGE, OR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN ANY WAY CONNECTED WITH:
- YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE ZEROFIT
- ANY EXERCISE OR PHYSICAL ACTIVITY PERFORMED IN CONNECTION WITH ZEROFIT
- ANY AI-GENERATED OR ALGORITHMICALLY PRODUCED RECOMMENDATION
- ANY RELIANCE ON INFORMATION PROVIDED THROUGH ZEROFIT
- ANY WEARABLE OR THIRD-PARTY DATA INTEGRATION
- ANY CHALLENGE PROGRAM, MICRO-WORKOUT, OR FITNESS PLAN
IN JURISDICTIONS THAT DO NOT PERMIT THE EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR PERSONAL INJURY, ZEROFIT'S LIABILITY SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
